Soluklan 1.1: iPad and better detection

Full iPad support, measurement that holds up in a noisy room, calmer session notes, and a report with a "how to fix it" section.

September 2026

In the days after the first release, two things stood out most: on iPad the app looked like an enlarged phone screen, and in noisy rooms the measurement sometimes went off. 1.1 was given over to those two.

iPad at its own size

With 1.1, iPad got full support. The app sits properly in all four orientations, and the layout holds when you turn the device sideways. The calendar and the technique picker use the wide screen, and the session circle gets bigger. Because a tablet's microphone is in a different place from a phone's, we also explained how to hold the tablet in Soluklan on a tablet.

Sturdier measurement

While the room was being measured at the start of a session, someone talking in the background or an air conditioner could set the threshold wrong. In this release the calibration holds up in a noisy room too. Exhales that start early are no longer lost: if you start breathing out a little before the rhythm, that exhale still counts. The thresholds were also tuned separately for each technique, because a short, fast exhale and a long, slow one don't make the same sound. The measuring the thresholds article explains what's behind this.

Fewer words during a session

The short notes that appear on screen during a session come less often and no longer shift the layout. The aim is that nothing pulls your eyes away while you focus on your breath. The session screen article says when these notes appear.

"How to fix it" in the report

The report doesn't just say what went wrong; it also says what you could do differently in your next session. The sentences vary more too, so you don't read the same advice after every session. This section is in the reading the report article as well.

Small fixes

In the intake quiz, the suggested option is marked with a soft highlight. Tapping back quickly no longer stacks pages on top of each other. A bug that closed the app when you tapped a notification was also fixed.
