Streak, milestones and the calendar
How the streak works, which sessions count, how to set milestones of your own, and how to read the calendar.

There is a flame icon on the home screen with a number next to it: your streak. It shows how many days in a row you have done a session.
Which sessions count towards the streak
For a session to complete a day it has to be long enough. Sessions cut off after a few seconds don't count.
Sessions without the microphone do count. Not getting a score has no effect on the streak.
Doing several sessions in one day doesn't speed the streak up — it counts days, not sessions.
A session that runs past midnight is recorded on the day it started. A session that begins at 23:50 and ends at 00:05 counts as yesterday's.
Milestones
There are stops along the streak: a few days, a week, a month and so on. When you reach one, it is celebrated on the home screen and in the session report.
Besides the ready-made stops, you can set your own. Add a new goal from the streak screen and write in whatever number of days you like. It gets marked on the calendar and celebrated when you reach it.
Stops you set yourself can be deleted.
The calendar
Tap the streak card on the home screen, or the Streak row in Profile, and the calendar opens.
Every day is a box: days you did a session are filled, days you didn't are empty. Milestones are marked separately. Scroll up for previous months, and on to the year view.
The year view shows the whole year on one screen — the regular stretches and the breaks stand out there.
When the streak breaks
Missing a day resets the streak. The app doesn't present this as a failure: your longest streak stays on record and a new streak begins the very next day.
When you are already on your longest streak, the app doesn't tell you "your longest streak was X" — that sentence only appears when you are behind your record.
Holiday mode
If you are taking a break, turn on holiday mode: Settings → Notification options → Holiday mode. Notifications go quiet until the date you set, and your streak is preserved.
Note: holiday mode ends an active program. Because a program keeps counting days.
The streak alert
If you haven't done a session that day and the day is nearly over, an alert arrives. You can set how many hours before the end it comes, or turn it off entirely.
Not getting hung up on the streak
A streak is a tool, not a debt. Giving up the app because you missed one day costs more than the missed day did. A two-minute session completes the day — on hard days, that is enough.
